PassKey to Success Support: 16 Laptops and Mobile Printer

• $20,000 — Purchase a mobile cart with 16 laptops and a printer. Equipment will be used to enhance mathematics and reading skills of students in the grades 9-11.
• These laptops will be utilized year after year to provide identified students (who are not proficient in reading or math) with additional instruction and practice. Approximately 600 students will benefit from the equipment each year.
• The equipment will be used in conjunction with a program that is already in place and is staffed by two educational aides and two supervising teachers. The overall goal of the program is to truly meet the needs of every SME student, thereby improving the community as a whole. This grant provides hardware that is needed to best utilize the Passkey software purchased with an East Fund grant in 2004-2005.
