Making the Learning Connection 2006

Ron Mersch, Associate Principal

  • $5,372 Fund workshops for students, parents and teachers regarding the learning patterns of the individual freshman and other students assessed over the previous three years.
  • 800 students will be impacted.
  • Making the Learning Connection provides better individualization of instruction.
The focus of this continuing project is to address the needs of all learners. Students do not all process and master subject matter in the same manner.

Many students have had their learning patterns assessed. This grant will fund workshops for students and their parents to learn how to use the information gathered about each individual student’s learning patterns.

In addition, 12 teachers will be trained how to use the information about learning patterns to tailor their instruction to best meet the needs of all students. The 12 teachers will be expected to share their training with the rest of their department staff.

Grant awarded September 2005
