• $4,963 — Purchase new computer software and two laptop computers to enable theater and music students to better produce creative set designs and lighting schemes in a virtual classroom and then implement their productions to enhance musicals, plays, choir recitals, and assemblies.
• The software packages (Vector Works Spotlight, SoftPlot 3D, and WYSIWYG) will give SME theatre and music students experience with sophisticated tools that are the current standard in the entertainment industry.
• Experience with this technology is expected to favorably impact the perceptions of college officials regarding the students coming out of the SME theatre/music programs.
