- Coffee Shop: Lancer Coffee Bistro - Provide for supplies and equipment to open and operate a coffee shop in Room 417. $7,000

- Link Crew Training - 2007 Start-Up - Sponsor three teachers' training as Link Crew coordinators, enabling them to start a 9th grade transition assistance program to SM East. $7,038
- Link Crew Training - 2008 Refresher - Fund follow-up training in Colorado Springs of three teachers who serve as Link Crew Coordinators. Link Crew is a program providing an orientation and year-round support to help with successful transitions for freshmen into our school. $4,500
- Making the Learning Connection 2004 - Purchase Learning Packets, cover afterschool stipend for selected staff and clerical personnel, and support further staff development options for teachers. This amount was adjusted to allow evening parental sessions to provide $16.25 per student program fees. This program would require future funding to be continued, none was identified. $3,837
- Making the Learning Connection 2006 - Fund workshops for students, parents and teachers regarding the learning patterns of the individual freshman and other students assessed over the previous three years. $5,372
- Mathematics Enhancement Tools - Purchase 50 graphing calculators, 60 scientific calculators, and 300 individual white boards to be used in all levels of math classes.

- Shakespeare in the Classroom - Fund English enrichment program: The Kansas City Repertory Theatre offers a "Shakespeare in the Classroom" enrichment program that brings four qualified actors to the English classroom for week-long segments. $9,000
- SHARE 2004: Student Volunteer Service Programming - Provide three-year commitment for staff and operations support for 1,800 students involved in community volunteerism program. SHARE offers all students the opportunity to learn through voluneer experiences, to develop leadership skills and to become better prepared for life's real challenges. ($15,000 total grant distributed over three years, $5,000 per year)

- SHARE 2008: Student Volunteer Service Programming (renewal) - Continue support for operational costs of this program that provides community service opportunities for SME students. During the 2004-05 school year, The East Fund previously granted $15,000 to SHARE over a three year period when the district discontinued its funding for the program.

- Shawnee Mission East Late Bus Service - Covers cost of bus service for students staying late for tutoring or work with teachers on Wednesdays and Thursdays during second semester 2009-2010. $2,164
- Soap Box Cars - Support woodshop student teams - and other classes - by purchasing two soap box car kits and covering entry fees for two racing competitions. Involved students in reaching out for community sponsorships, as well. $1,794
- Student Apparel and Spirit Wear Shop - Construct a shop at Shawnee Mission East near the gyms to allow DECA (Distributed Education Clubs of Americ) and other groups to sell their apparel, spirit wear and other goods. $5,000
