2008-2009 Fiesta for East Earns More Than $40,000
Sixth Annual Feast for East raises more than $60,000
A lively crowd gathered at Millburn Country Club January 31 to support quality education at Shawnee Mission East. Organizers estimate the 2008-2009 Fiesta for East raised more than $60,000, which will support student programs, professional development and technology at SME.

The Feast for East is the major fundraiser for the Shawnee Mission East Educational Excellence Fund (The East Fund). The East Fund deposits contributions into the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so all contributions are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law, while the East Fund retains control of all donations and disbursements.
